Kyle Robert Lundgreen joined our family last Friday, 12.10.10. He was 6 lbs. 3 oz. and 19 inches long. Everything went smooth and we are already completely obsessed with him. More pics and story to come!

just a lil festive

So I really love holidays. I usually am quite the celebrator. But this year poor Halloween (one of my most favorite) fell to the bottom of the list of things on my mind. Alas, this was the first year in all 22 I have been alive for I did not dress up. I try not to think about it or I feel a deep sorrow for letting myself down. BUT. I did manage to do a little project that made me feel a bit better. I am not crafty, or a good cook, and I don't have a nice camera to make things look super nice. But these were fun and I was pretty happy with the results. So world, please forgive my lack of celebrations this year, and take this as my offering. I will definitely make up for it next year, you have my word.

sorry but...

I don't buy it. I like Yoplait yogurt just as much as the next person... but if I really wanted some cheesecake or strawberry shortcake and you brought me a yogurt I would look at you like you were crazy and ask again for a proper dessert menu. Good for those ladies on the commercials that say its saved them from their old cravings, but other than a nice breakfast or a little something sweet at the end of my lunch, Yoplait does little to satisfy serious dessert desires. I am all for a healthy alternative but their commercials are ridiculous. I will gladly go run off my REAL dessert. Moderation in all things folks. That's just me though. And that is my rant of the day. Please pass the pie.

time out for fun

So what do we do in the summer time? Let me tell you! All in one post. We carry on life as usual seeking air conditioned places, but we also have a lot of fun. So here are some of the highlights (very out of order).

We attend Stadium of Fire to see my love Carrie Underwood with Kevin and Erin (the group pic is on their camera)

We fight the heat and allow our faces and feet to swell all in the spirit of BYU FOOTBALL! I gotta say since joining the Lundgreen fam, this is one of my favorite inherited traditions...even when they don't play so well :)

We celebrate Ryan's 25th BIRTHDY with a sweet miniature pinata! Ryan truly deserved his own post carrying on about how amazing he is for such a big birthday, but I have limited internet access, and have been a slacker all summer. So let me take this chance to point out the obvious. He is amazing, he is my favorite person, he makes me laugh hard every single day, and I love him very much.

We go to Vegas for one last trip before the family expansion! We take lots of pics of ourselves, especially when there are cool mirrors on the elevator ceilings.

We go up the canyon for picnics and to enjoy the view! We also take pictures of ourselves from the side to satisfy others curiosity (25 weeks) :).

We find out we're having a BOY! And the cute girls I work with celebrated with me.

We paint furniture and things to get ready to welcome that boy!

We bust out the lil' smoky for some delicious back porch BBQ's!

We do other things as well including: attend best friends and family's weddings (not pictured), go bowling, eat watermelon, sit outside and enjoy the evening, ya know, just the usual. But it has been a very nice summer. We have had a lot of fun but I can't say I'm sad at all to move on to fall, and enjoy my personal favorite time of the year.

So I am always working on building my portfolio but I recently did some more official work. Alyssa Sorenson did the photography and a few beautiful friends were good sports about letting me cut, color, and style their hair as I pleased (and even gave in to wearing the fake lashes). thanks so all who participated, I had a lot of fun!

oh boy

I like lil' things. Lil' man clothes are no exception. Having a hard time not going crazy shopping... but so far this and other Cardinals apparel has been the most challenging to withstand...might not make it much longer without "adding to cart" if you know what I'm saying. I mean really...is this not adorable? And if you think this is cute just try looking at all the other adorable festive baby cards gear. Too much to handle.

We are having a BOY!

So I could probably write an entire novel about my trip down under to see my sister and her fabulous family. It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. I wish Ryan would have been able to join me but it was probably good he was here because it gave me something to come back for. My sister is my BFF. It had been two years since I had seen her, and before that visit it was two years as well. Needless to say, the time had come. We manage to stay just as close internationally but nothing beats true quality time with someone. She had also had a baby since I had seen her so it was vital to meet him before too long as well. Anyhow we had a completely perfect two weeks together. We visited cool animals, saw beautiful things, ate delicious food, laughed til we cried, cried til we laughed, and added countless songs and stories to the memory book. Michelle was the trip photographer so I will just share a few of the 550 I brought back with me. There are millions of pics but they tell the story better so just scroll fast to avoid being bored. Also pics are out of order but I only have so much time here so sorry. Thanks to the Browns for an amazing time!!!
